2004 MSX110 wouldn't shut off once lanyard is pulled

Had our Polaris not shut off after the lanyard was pulled or by pushing in the kill button. Thought it might be a bad switch, but have been told that is likely not the problem and the switches very seldom go bad. Plus, other gauges on the handle assembly work just fine. Have also been told it could be an electric module (computer/IBC), but these do not appear to be available anywhere. Has anyone else had this happen and have ideas how to fix? I beleive there is a company trying to redevelop this module for replacement sale, but it is not yet released and would like to get this back up and running in the water asap.

More than likely you need an SIFB. It hangs next to the ECU. Square thing.

Had the same thing happen to me on an MSX 150 (same engine). I was on the lake idling around trying to figure out how to kill the engine. Funny sight I'm sure... me idling around... lifting the mammoth seat to the side so I could reach in and pull the main relay.

It was a bad System Interface Box (SIFB). A notorious electrical failure point on the Weber engines. Sadly, you are correct. There are no more new SIFBs and finding a good used one is tough. They are usually the first sold part on a parted-out Weber engine ski.

Randy at WeberPower (dot com) is working on an aftermarket replacement. I've tested a few prototypes for him. Give him a ring and see if and when he might have one for sale. Otherwise, keep your eyes open for the next MSX110/150 being parted out.

    Cheers!

Thanks Everyone! @ Weber Guy, is there an estimated available date for when the replacements will be available for purchase and where I will be able to order one?
