    2003 1100 STX Di Impeller

Would a Skat-Trak Swirl Impeller - 14/24 Degree Be to aggressive for this ski?

    1100 stx di (2003)

    Thanks.

Ok, so with no response with skat 14/24 I decided not to buy that impeller. Has any one installed a solas impeller 14/20.

Sorry man, didn't see your post until now. For the 1100 DI with a stock engine...
Scat Trac, it takes a 13/19 swirl.
    Solas, it takes a KG-CD 12/18.

Not much of anything you can do with the DI motors as far as mods, it is what it is because of the type of injection and best left alone...except for making damn certain the water lines never get clogged and fry's the 'brain' EMM. The main place they clog is inside that little space on the stator cover up front. Maintenance is key with the DI's and the cooling line maintenance is of the highest priority.

Any more pitch than what I listed and it's just going to drop your top end RPM's down along with your speed. Too much pitch on the front edge will make it dopey coming out of the hole.

    ^^ That is 10000 % accurate.

I like to think of the Kawi STX DI's as the Cadillac of skis.... there's absolutely no point in modifying them, nor is there hardly/any aftermarket support for them. It's the perfect comfortable, family ski to cruise, and def not gonna break any speed records either.

That's it right there. My wife has a 2000 model that we call "the perfect ski" cuz' it always fires right up instantly, runs fantastic and the handling performance is simply awesome.
