    1997 GTX hole in pipe

Hey guys I have a 1997 seadoo GTX and there is a small hole in one of the freeze plugs. The hole is smaller than a nickel is it ok to just JB weld something that small ? If so is normal JB fine or do I need the marine stuff. Thanks

So Common, it will have to be removed and welded up imo, or use that 2 part expoxy stick and take a chance ....

get it welded. anything else is foolishness. I've had more then one ski come back in from a jb weld pipe repair where there was electrical damage due to water spraying onto the MPEM or stator connector depending what the case might be.You can use jb in a pinch, to prevent a lost weekend..but it's not the suggested was to deal with it.

The welder next door to me does mine for $75..it's aluminum plate welded over the old hole and pressure test to assure the water stays where it should.

here's one that I just finished installing in an XP

Do like nmpeter says and get it welded! I had both of my XP pipes welded last year for $60, total. I think that most guys are paying $60+ each. Get it done.
