1997 waverunner gp1200 is not getting any spark.
When I test drove the wave runner is started up right away. Once I bought it, it sat for a few weeks and yesterday I went out for the first time and it would not start. It is turning over and getting gas. So I replaced the spark plugs and it still did not start. I put each spark plug up to a nut to see if it would spark and none of them sparked. What would this be?

start stop switch, stator, or CDI maybe. Do you have a Service manual? there are a bunch of tests you can run to figure out what components are working and which ones aren't.

Do the 97's not have a kill switch that you have to enter a code to allow it to start?
Check with the previous owner.

Yes it could also be the security system, I think.
