Enjoy your trip and please be safe! Post pics of all your stops. I believe you are going down the Miss and up the Ohio is that rite? Plenty of water coming your way. I'm about 200 miles north of Moline and we are above flood stage with a lot of debris floating down stream.

I'm going to take the liberty of butting in here for Rich (Dragdaddy71); I'm guessing his days are long and all the posting/updates are an issue. But I'm comfortable doing this as I've personally laid out his entire route form him. I don't rem. the numbers exactly, but it was near 1300 miles and approximately 250 waypoints (Marinas, ramps, hotels, bridges, L & D).

The route: Down the Miss from Moline to Cairo. From Cairo, left turn into the Ohio then upriver just past Paducah. Into the Tenn (or further upstream into the Cumberland), into Kentucky Lake, then south all the way to the GoM, via Tenn. R., Tenn-Tom, Mobile R., then out Mobile Bay.

A quick summary of the trip so far:

Day 1 - arrived at Hannibal, MO.
Day 2 - arrived at Cape Girradeau.
Day 3 - ran out of fuel near Ky Lake w/ L & D was closed. Managed to get p/u by chase vehicle and brought around.
Day 4 - partner's ski engine let go (toast?), towed in before dark, Clifton, TN - the middle of nowhere.
Day 5 - partner responds w/new Yammi from the nearest dealer, back on the trail, arrived at Columbus, MS
    Day 6 - Today???

The above summary is compiled from FB pages, phone calls and text between me and the guys. Obviously it has not been w/o incident, but kudos for the guys being intent on finishing the trip in the face of adversity. I hope to meet up w/them in the Mobile area this weekend. Anyone else?

As I understand it, the trip was a huge success. Raised a lot of money for their charity. The Kawasaki 300 blew its engine, hence the new Yamaha to complete the trip. Hoping for some video some time soon.

Sorry - looks like I dropped the ball after my initial report, albeit near the end of the trail. I was hoping to meet the guys upon their arrival, but that didn't work out for me. All the same, what Rooster said above. I'm sure Rich will give us some beta once he sorts it all out.
