    ET Race IAT's

Put an hour on the ET70/145 this morning, and it accelerates much harder than my xxx. Yes, I know the xxx is a 140 and I'm not knocking it because it holds slip very well, makes very good numbers and keeps charger side temps below 200F while cruising at 7k. I'll run it in rougher water so not to worry about clutch life. It's an exceptionally good charger.
This morning, the ET (after impeller change from 15/20 to 15/22), kept charger side temps right at 200F at 7k (I've run the xxx with this set-up too).
It seemed happy cuising at 68-69mph at 6600rpm. I wanted to be easy on it for break-in, and only took it to 8200-8300 twice. It pulls very, very hard mid to top. I can understand why port work is recommended for this charger.
Intercooler kept IAT's 2degrees over water temp, with one spike to 3 degrees.
The ET's charger side temps were @20F higher than xxx all around, but I don't have a long wot pull with which to compare--yet.
Oh, and they aren't kidding about the 'whistle' noise. It really talks to you 3-5k, even with my 4in aluminum piping run to front of craft above battery. I can't imagine this thing breathing through a rear air system... Can you say earplugs?

Are you guys running a rear air?
I may try it on a nice calm day where there's less chance of water intrusion.
And you're right, the few people wandering around the campsites were staring as I toodled around warming it up.

I can't believe the acceleration difference, it's astounding, and I'm at 3000ft. I plan on changing to a smaller venturi and hitting a lake close to my parent's home in Ft. Worth. Those are around 600ft and I can't imagine the power gains down there. Heck, at PK (1000ft) my old xxx would really wake up.

Wow, over 9k on that charger is pushing some serious air.
Where is your timing set for that thing?
    8.4's or 9.5's?
What is your elevation and what octane do you use?
    Thanks!
