    10 ways to sink your ski

    1. Leave the drain plug out.

    2. Steering cable thru hull is loose.

    3. Drain plug insert is not tight to the hull.

    4. Thru hull bearing seals are shot.

    5. Pitot is leaking or disconnected from the MFD.

    6. Intake water hose got loose.

    7. Trim motor gasket is bad, not tight or no sealer used.

    8. Hull to pump o-ring is bad.

    9. Siphon feed tube is loose.

    10. Yes, even a loose drain plug can sink your azz.

    Just experenced that one the other day....Almost went under!

    Not seeing how that could flood the hull.

    I will suggest something related;
    The water feed tube from jet pump where it passes through the pump base into the hull. Needs sealant or it is liable to seep water while floating. The o-rings at the p,p base do not actually seal anything, they are primarily used as spacers.

    Just experenced that one the other day....Almost went under!
    Did that a few weeks ago. Then the next weekend, the t-stat housing broke off and flooded the ski.

    No not yet.hahaha. Keith, if you pinch your big hull oring while installing it could cause a leak. Unlikely though.

    I can think of MANY more ways, reasonable causes of course.
