    I've had a few gtr 215s.
    They are very good machines.
I sent them to the Bahamas and I've talked to the new owners regularly.
1 ski now has 160 hrs and the other has 125.
    No sinking issues.
Only thing that's broken on 1 ski was the steering bolts.
These guys jump them in the waves all day long.
So the abuse these units get is unreal and the owners haven't complained about anything.

Problems? Yes. It will make your arms tired from holding on, and it doesn't support the oil companies like the other models as it gets very good fuel mileage.

Sinking? I've heard of people running their ride on the trailer for long periods of time (with water hooked up) and cooking the carbon ring... whiiiiich leads to premature failure and a soon-to-be-subersible pwc.

Try one, hold on, and be ready for sore arm (hold on tight) and face muscles (smiling!!!) the following day.

I also think the sinking issues are from people running there ski on the hose for too long.
I know its ok for a 1 or 2 minutes but I've seen some people do it for 15-20 minutes.
They are cooking the carbon ring/seal and those people are at risk for sinking.
Gtr is built on a very solid history of race bred skis.
I think they are some of the most bullet proof supercharged skis made today.

Your buddys don't want you to get 1 because your going to smoke there asses on the water...

    Buy it.

My riding partner bought a left over 2012 GTR demo unit this spring and it is one nice machine. Handles better than my GTX and the iBR system works great.

They are excellent skis. New skis don't just "sink". Sea-Doo wouldn't be in business.

I'm sorry but just getting the info off the Internet which at times can be plain BS but since a lot of articles came up thought I would ask what are things I can do to prevent this or buy the certain model that dong have this problem
