is it a pull thru cable,or do you pull it out from inside the hull?....also i assume you use some kind of sealer/silicone on the pump end?
    Thanks.

Start from the front, run tgough the bottom of hull and out thru the back. Dont loose the plastic and rubber piece that comes thru the back. I forgot to put the rubber seal and water was coming in. Luckily I checked and made sure for before riding. Not to hard to do. I did remove the pump assembly to make it easier to reach the back housing

I'd disconnect the steering cable from under inside the hull at the base of the steering column and try to turn the handle bars with the cable disconnected.
The reason being is that sometimes its not the cable and its actually the steering column itself that's binding up.
My buddys 06 had the column lock up.
We had to take apart the column and sand down the inside and put it back together with some industrial lube.
Just don't want you to buy a cable and find out its in your column.
Yeah only salt water skis are going to have this possible issue.
    Good luck!!!
