    Borrow or Purchase 2872290 Ignition Adjuster

    My SLH decided blow a Upgraded CDI. Looking to borrow or purchase a 2872290 Ignition Point Adjuster.

    I wish you luck in purchasing one, with how rare they are that might be a pretty big feat not sure even how many members have them...

    I don't really understand the need for the adjuster-according to the service manual it will only change timing 2 degrees either way- so say the timing is off by more than 2 deg, you still need to adjust at the flywheel.

    But if its off by less than 2 degrees, its a lot easier than pulling the cover and manually adjusting it. Case in point, my motor is running at 21.5 [email protected] RPM. Would sure be easy to bump it up another degree without having to remove the flywheel cover and wrestle in a tight space.

    They are expensive. Here's a couple of places that may have them or at least they do list them if you want to spend the bucks. Both list the Digitial Wrench and other polaris tools.

    I dont know of anywhere that will sell them without being a dealer.

    I got ahold of a dealer here in Iowa that's willing to order them. He's checking on them and will get back to me. So if anyone would want one, they would have to be prepaid for. I'll let you know when I get pricing.
