    Vtech 8650 injector size

Hey all, 2010 RXTX260. Currently running the Vtech 8375 tune and its running great but thinking about dooing the valvetrain upgrade and running up to 8650 RPM. Question is, in your opinion do you think the stock 48lb injectors can support that tune and RPM safely? Running stock boost levels and basic mods... Intake, free flow exhaust, thermostat, intake mod...

    Lets here some input!

    Thanks

The stock injectors could be use with the stock but you will need a rrfpr.

    Safely? Hmmm, I wouldn't without testing AFR's.
    VT11's are proven.

I ran the 8500 tune last year safely with the stock injectors/SC. I would still want an AFR gauge installed for piece of mind.
Talk to Jonatan and tell him your set up first.

The stock injectors are maxed out on a stock install. A RRFPR will only get you sorted out at a few points in a very few points. Get larger injectors. Get the new tune for the large injectors. Get a way to log the data and tune the ski.

B.S. - Been running the stock injectors for 20 hours now with my mods below and have never had any issues. Take your crap somewhere else. The stock 48's can handle the stock X-charger at almost any level.

At this point I have no way of monitoring afr's so maybe the 1100's should go in as well. This winter I plan on installing the afr gauge, rrfpr, xxx or equivalent. Just looking for a safe route to up the rpms at this point. I'm sure with all vtech's research with there injectors they should be safe with there tune I would think. Thanks for the help guys, and more thoughts let me know

Let's see your data logs... What DC are you running at WOT?

Jerry, Nils, Dynojet, VTech and myself all appear to agree that you are right on the edge with stock injectors.
