    The wet left coast.

    Are these cases useable ?

My 98 GTX Limited broke the piston skirt and did a bit of damage. I plan on rebuilding with a rebuilt crank, counterbalance and pistons etc but before I start what is the opinion on the cases ? It did not run very long and was at a low rpm when it let go, the damage could have been a lot worse the intake is the worst of the damage the bottom case has scuff marks luckily no cracks or even deep gouges. This is a rec ski I plan on keeping another couple of years I was planning on cleaning up the edges with a dremmel and reassemble.

You will be fine. I have run worse. You won't notice any performance issues with the intake like that.

Agreed, just clean up the rough edges and run it.
