    Steering is binding - 2005 VX110 Sport

I have a 2005 VX110 sport and the steering is really stiff and feels like its binding up at times. Is there a way to lubricate the cable or is this a "must replace" item? I did lube the joint at the rear where it attaches and at the front where it attaches and it didn't improve much, if at all.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just replace steering cable. I know its not cheap or easy, but the only way to truly fix it.

When you replace the cable go ahead and order the plastic cable nut the old dry brittle one will probably break when you try to reinstall it.

Pretty sure the OEM replacement comes with the plastic nut. At least the 2005 GP1300R steering cable I did last year had one with it.

Everyone I ever ordered didn't. Maybe it depends on where you order it from. My preference is Riva
