    Pennzoil Premium Plus Synthetic Blend ??

    I have (2) Yamaha XLT1200's with D-Plates. At $14.99/gallon, I am liking this so far and it does say that it is suitable for injection systems. Opinions?

    Product info;

    TC-W3 is a very basic, rather old oil specification, intended for carbureted 2-stroke outboard engines that were current around two decades ago. These days TC-W3 is essentially a deprecated oil spec. Many modern oils greatly exceed the minimum TC-W3 test requirements, but it can be unclear from reading the label whether they exceed it by a little bit or a lot.

    2-stroke PWC engines generally turn higher RPM and produce more power per cc than 2-stroke outboard engines, so the oil is more highly stressed.

    I have no significant experience with this particular oil. It is an ashless formulation so it is not suitable for engines that require or specify a Low Ash type oil.

    Just pointing out the TC-W3 is a bare bones minimum oil spec these days, and many good oils no longer even list it.

    Good info, thanks. I bought 4 gallons of it and will go through it pretty quick in both skis. It will give me some time to evaluate it.
