I did Lake Austin and Lake Dunlap a few weeks ago. Dunlap is too short(7 miles), but Austin was nice, especially the north end where the water is super clear., but its on 20 miles long. There are a couple nice side creeks.

It's been over a decade since I have ridden Travis. I just remember it being really big and choppy, but I was on a group ride with like 100 skis though

I did Inks/LBJ a few years ago, that was a fun ride. Kinda like the Brazos stuff up here. The only thing cool I remember about Buchanan was it had a water fall you could ride under.

I haven't been out that way this year, but the Trinity always seems to keep its levels fairly well.

Travis does have the tendency to get rough when the winds kick up but over all its a beautiful lake however, we were going to go up there Memorial weekend and all but 1 boat ramp was open...they were charging $35 to launch so needless to say we cancelled our plans. I would call before heading out there.

Lake Austin in a nice run. Make sure you go all the way to do Travis dam and check out how clear and cold the water is.

I assumed you had not been there since you were asking for info about the lake?
