    Need help on 92 kawasaki 750ss purchase

    I am looking at buying a 92 kawasaki 750ss on a double trailer. Both have titles. The trailer is galvanized steel and needs a little work, but not bad. The ski looks good, but the guy says it only runs on starter fluid, not on its own. He says carb was just rebuilt, they thought that would fix it. So 2 questions. What might be the issue with the ski, and is this worth it for $500. I have a seadoo and polaris already, and would really just keep the trailer and sell the ski to cover my investment. Any help would be great guys. I know nothing about the kaw skis and am trying to get up to speed quick. Can anyone point me to an online a manual for this ski?

    Could be the carb wasn't put back together right or the adjustments are off. Could be plugged pickups in the fuel tank, switch to the Reserve fuel setting and see if it makes any difference.

    Is it worth $500? This is a case where the trailer is probably worth more than the 'Ski. Probably not worth paying a dealer to fix it for you, but if you can work on it yourself, it may be worth it to you.

    I can and would do the work myself. Only real cost to me would be parts. What could I expect this ski to bring without a trailer?

    Does this engine use reeds or is it like the seadoo rotax?

    In excellent condition, and running well, it might bring $5-600. It really depends on your local market.

    This is a reed valve engine.
