    2000 GP1200R--Parts/Mods

I know this isnt the Classified's sections, but I can't post there quite yet and I'm looking for some used parts. Over the past couple of years I've done some modding and accrued some damage. Oil line popped off and I lost piston #3, but salvaged cylinder #3. Something happened with fuel and it fried piston #1 and ate up the cylinder too. There is a compression leak on the rear oil seal at the moment. I got the heads milled and compression is lower in #3 than in the others by about 15 lbs. Here are my mods and my soon-to-be mods, then I'll say what I'm looking for:

Currently: 13/19 Concord Impeller. Riva rideplate. Upgraded intake grate. pump seal kit. milled heads. d plate. chip for CC sensor. replaced oil lines and put good clamps on all oil and fuel lines.

Soon-to-mod: ditch the fuel switch, run fuel reserve fuel line from tank to T between 1&2 carbs, drill the 1/8" hole in the carb and connect fuel lines for adequate back pressure, disconnect accelerator pumps, rejet carbs (all bells and whistles involved with that), aftermarket flame arrestors.

    What am I looking for:
    2 pistons & cylinders between 00-02 (66V)
aftermarket flame arrestors, other intake mods/suggestions
    any carb jet/setting kits
    rear oil seals

Any thoughts, comments, or offers would be wonderful.

    Thanks!

Once you have a oil line popped off en fried a piston ,the first thing to do is go premix and be sure this would not happen again.
The leaky oil seal explains the loss of cylinder 1.
Putting on aftermarket flame arrestors without rejetting the carbs will also cause a lean condition.
You forgot to add wave-eater clips to your to-do list.

Better check/replace your reeds. They usually get burnt when you fry a cylinder.

Predator: I added some really solid clamps to each end of each fuel and oil line. Should be ok in that department. The leaky oil seal was nearest cyl #3, just surprised that one didnt go first. Also, I've read the OsideBill sticky's about the rejetting the carbs. I'm planning on doing exactly as he said. Thanks for the comment about the clips though!

SMLaker: Good point. I'll look into that for sure.

I appreciate the feedback, guys. Any extra parts laying around by chance?
