    VXR Pro 700 starter switch?

I took my '93 VXR Pro 700 out after sitting a few weeks and it just cranked and cranked with no fire. The starter switch actually stayed on and it kept cranking even with my lanyard out. I had no way to stop it worried I might kill my recently replaced starter. I couldn't even disconnect the battery because I didn't bring any tools. I think my starter should be fine and if course the battery will need recharged, but has anybody ever experienced a stuck starter switch it couldn't be something else?

It is probably a stuck/bad solenoid. If it cranked continuously until the battery died it may have also fried your starter.

I think it is my switch. I just replaced both the solenoid relay and the starter.
