Throttle failure with 2010+ iTC ??

While on family vacation day 3, just cruising at around 5000 rpm lost throttle lever function! Engine still running at 1700 idle, can go into Reverse or Neutral at idle only. Ski will start normally with all normal indications, just no forward or throttle control. 1tommygunner1927 had to tow me 3-4 miles and very glad I have a Emergency Tow valve!

Motec log all normal up to this event. When connected live with laptop and Motec software I have these Faults:
Throttle Lever Sensor Diagnostic - Single Sensor
Throttle Lever Sensor Tracking - Low Fault
    Throttle Aim State - Idle
Throttle Servo Diagnostic - Power Save

Unable to see any variances in voltages with throttle lever or manually with software. It is simply stuck at 18.7% and won't budge.

Dash Fault code 1550 which is OTAS, don't think it is related but could be wrong.

Replaced the entire $750 Throttle Body with new part and it did not fix the problem. With initial power up the TB does move to idle, so it has power. Huge thanks to ecpchris for sending me his spare!! Class act!

Starting to think the TAS Throttle Accelerator Sensor 278 002 283, $125 may be the source of the problem, which is the servo/sensor in the throttle lever housing. Have no other iTC skis with us and local dealer doesn't have the part and has never ordered one either.
Every connection, fuze, relay, all checked and rechecked normal.

Any other iTC skis have this issue?

    Thanks

I have had some issues with the throttle body as well as the tas. Take the break lever out and swap it to the throttle. They are the same switch just different orientation. See what happens.

Pyro was right on the money, TAS Throttle Accelerator Sensor went bad. You can temporarily swap the brake and throttle modules outside the housing to test if one is bad. They are mirror images of each other. BRP should have made these interchangeable! And of course none of the dealers I called had the part in stock.
I have a new one now and a spare.

Chris at East Coast PWC came to the rescue!!

    TAS module 278 002 283 $124.99, Brake module 278 002 284 $121.99

OEM Parts link from Pyro #36 and #40 :

Hopefully this was just a freak deal and won't happen to anyone else.

I am posting this because the only way to find the part number is a sticker on the modules, they are NOT listed in the OEM parts listing.

    Hey bud,

I actually had to replace another one yesterday.....I have replaced 4 or so in the last 3 years. They are listed in the OEM parts catalog. Check items #36 and 40 in the below link

    Glad I could help.
