    GP1200R Intake Questions

    Hey all,
I am rebuilding an '01 GP1200R. My ski started as a hull full of parts. I am getting ready to pressure test the motor and realized that I am missing the flat plate that goes between the carb mounting manifold and the plate that bolts over the reed cages. Is this plate an absolute necessity? If so, does anybody have one they would sell to me, perhaps both plates that go between the reed cages and carb manifold?

I only remember the aluminum plate (whats in my pic) and the plate that the carbs actually bolt to (baseplate?) from when I last pulled my carbs. I'm getting old though lol.

2002 has the insulator... it will work without it, but the bolts are longer

Thanks guys. My gasket kit came with two of the gaskets that go between the reed plate and carb manifold. Looking at a parts fiche

I noticed I only have plate #2 and not plate #1.
