Plug on jetpump to check oil???? Stop, and find someone who knows what they doing to help you out. Take a pic and post it up. Sounds like you may have pulled the strainer out.

That's the strainer. That little channel provides the water to the intercooler and exhaust.
You'll need to unbolt the steering (right side 10mm) and reverse (left side 10mm) and reverse spring (left side--use channel locks) and VTS (above pump, tight fit 10mm) to remove the venturi.
I think the four bolts on venturi are 13mm. Remove those four and the black venturi will come off with the steering and reverse bucket.
You'll see the plastic cone staring at you, with 3 (4or5mm allen) screws staring at you.
If you're going to use thick grease/lube, you can remove the 3 allens and gently pull the plastic cone off.
Wipe out old grease/lube, then fill with new.
Follow directions backwards to put back together!

If I've forgotten anything, someone chime in!

    Good luck!

There is no oil in the jetpump to check the level of anyway its grease. Like wheel bearing grease. Is the pump making an odd noise?

yes the pump is making an odd noise, and when i checked the strainer hole, there was no grease in it at all. if you can tell me, the specific type of grease needed would be preferable.

That is the water inlet and does not require lube.

The RXP pump has grease in it,

The grease is found in item#24.

    It uses this grease,

Sounds like the pump needs rebuilt. Adding oil or grease will not fix a bad bearing and/or seals.

Whats your location? Maybe someone here is close to you and could maybe help you out. A dealership may get you for over 500 bucks or more, if you need a pump rebuild, prop, wear ring, etc.
