    EXT intercooler water routing

    Alright so the last hour i have been reading diff ways to hook up the intercooler. I have a 05 rxp what is the best water line routing. Should I do Strainer then split it, and do one line to the intercooler and have the exit dump overboard?

    A lot of ways split inlet one to exhaust one to intercooler strainer on intercooler side. In intercooler out intercooler exit, I'm assuming closed loop

    Yea im closed look should i do a 3/4 out and dump it over or do a 1/2

    I prefer to direct all water where it would have originally gone had you not made the modifications. For example, if you're going to split the inlet line before it hits the intercooler I would route the new line back into the beginning of the exhaust cooling circuit.

    When You split inlet one goes for cool fresh water straight to exhaust the other goes to intercooler. You accomplish two things, you relieve a ton of water pressure at intercooler and you also maintain cool water to exhaust. I do 3/4 out more volume less pressure.

    Enlarge the restrictor to 1/2". Stock, its about 5/16". Use a 3/4" T fitting to split the water for the exhaust and IC. The stock dump is 1/2" and T's both the exhaust water and IC water to dump it. Use the stock dump for the exhaust water and add a second 1/2" dump for the IC.

    Will do so enlarging the restrictor makes it so the exhaust doesn't overheat.
