Samy-gti has that thing running well. Here is the speed in mph

    Speed @ RPM: 116km/h 8.000 (72mph)
    Year/Model: 2011 fx ho
    Name/Weight: Samy 105kg
    Air Temp: 38*C
    Altitude: sea nivel
    Fuel Level:3/4
Mods: power filter, riva exaust, ecu alientech, macc racing sponsons, solas 12/18, R&D plate

Very impresive indeed, I might look an R & D Plate now as I did not know they made one for this model.
Next time out I am going to get my mate who is a bit lighter than me to go out with the GPS for some longer high speed runs. He regularly see better speeds on the speedo than I do and I was only doing some very short runs with the GPS so it might not be reporting the absolute top speed achieved as it only polls every 5 seconds - if that is the case then I doubt I would have been at top speed for that long. I will get him to do some runs of 30secs or more and see what it reports back. In the Summer I mgiht look at an ECU flash and will report back, its middle of winter here so not doing much ridding.
Thanks for pinning the tread to the top of the forum - Excellent.

    OK

My mate thought he could do better than me so we took the Ski out today in cool but still conditions. Mark consistently had speeds a mph or two more than me so here is his results. We think we can see a little better with a lighter fuel load. Mark did a long ride with 7 other ski's at the start of the morning and was keeping up with Scott on his 2013 SHO (absolutely stock ski 33hrs on it) everyone was on full tanks and his GPS showed 62mph max for the morning ride. The results below were later in the day with a little less fuel on board.

Speed @ RPM: 64.0mph GPS (72mph speedo) @ approx 7750 rpm (on the limiter)
    Year/Model: 2012 FX HO
    Name/Weight: Mark - 76kg (167lbs)
    Air Temp: 17C (63f)
Altitude: Sea Level on salt water tidal river.
    Fuel Level: Half tank
Mods: Ribbon Delete, Riva pod filter and R and D crankcase filter\bypass
    Hours: 86hrs on the clock
    Where: Hawkesbury river NSW Australia
    When: Today

Will post more results when the weather warms up a bit, really keen to have the ECU flashed but will have to save my $$$ first.

    All

A top spring day out on the water today. I took out a guy who wanted to see what the FX HO could do so we went on a nice ride around the Hawkesbury river and on the way back we found some real smooth water so I turned on the GPS to see what speed we could do with two up on board. Here is the results

Speed @ RPM: 61.0mph GPS (67mph speedo) @ approx 7750 rpm (on the limiter)
    Year/Model: 2012 FX HO
    Name/Weight: Dave 92kgs and Paul 75kgs- for a total of 167kgs (368lbs)
    Air Temp: 24C (75f)
Altitude: Sea Level on salt water tidal river.
    Fuel Level: 3/4 tank
Mods: Ribbon Delete, Riva pod filter and R and D crankcase filter\bypass
    Hours: 94hrs on the clock
    Where: Hawkesbury river NSW Australia
    When: Today Sat 22nd Sept.

    Regards

The next day I put my Ski in for its 100hrs service as it comming up to some good riding weather. They call me and say the prop has some damage (which I knew) and that it should be replaced. OK I though, I have had nearly 100 hrs of fun lets get a new prop fitted. Unfortunately, they called back a couple of hours later and said the prop won't come off the shaft so will have to order a new one under warranty - No problem right. Wrong no prop shafts in the country (Aus) so they ahve to get one from Japan - Going to be off the water for 10 days at best, hopefully it won't be any longer than that.
I knew my prop had a few dings in it after pickjing up a stick or two in the fresh water lake last xmas, hopefully the prop will stop the cavitation I get at the start, maybe even another mph or 2 - In the first week or two we had the ski I was on the back with a mate and I saw 72mph on the speedo and have not seen these speeds with two up since.
Will get it back next week and see how we go.
