The only way this day could get any worse...
would be for someone to sleep with my wife and hit my truck...
I will probably never let anyone else touch my SeaDoo again. Do you think it's repairable or does it pretty much exceed the cost of a stock 08 RXPX. The engine compartment did fill with water, I tried to start it before it had filled with water, then towed. I'm not touching it again until it gets to the shop. Hopefully the engine is still good.
Thank god no one was killed...We got lucky.

Did you let a friend ride it? I get asked a lot from my family and they get mad when I wont let them ride it. Hope all works out well for you.

I stopped letting people who I am not sure of, ride my skis years ago. Only let people who I know can ride, ride. These thing are way to powerful nowadays.
As a side note, I sold a good 08 PX hull about 6 months ago.

There is a guy over near Longview that can look at it, they do superb work and you can call him almost anytime on his cell. Look up G&B marine in Longview and send him some pics. If you can't find the number give me a call.
And damn, Inalmost sent you a PM to go ride with me and other GH members today!

Thanks dnielsen...I will give that dude a call. I don't usually let folks ride the 255 unless I've rode with them before. This guy said he has rode a lot. I was on the Yamaha with the wife testing the new ride plate. We slowed down on the main boatway leaving caddo lake where it is real narrow he wasnt paying attention and gunned it. He clipped us and to avoid ramming us outright went into the trees and flipped the ski.
I can still ride just limited to 2 stroke yamaha until I get this sorted out. Man... I love my 255.

I have a seadoo rxt-x 2011 and had to get the bottom re gel coated which was from rubbing on some rocks which was all scratches on the bottom and that cost my insurance 5 thousand to do that and mine wasn't even that bad now these ski's are made of plastic with gel coat over the top and its very unlikely anyone will want to fix that I know I wouldn't even want to touch it myself to much of a chance of the hull cracking again plus being made of plastic its much harder to seal it up and if someone would try to fix it would just crack again if someone does think they can fix it I would say they would charge around ten grand in which case I would just let my insurance total it and start out fresh
