    Updated Supercharger???

Called a local dealer to ask for the cost to rebuild the supercharger on my 2010 RXP-X. He quoted a rebuild price of $600. But then he said, "I don't recommend you go that route. Instead you should purchase the newer revised model for $850...you'll get better power and longer reliability."

I immediately smelled a rat, because I've never heard anyone mention a newer revision of SC. Is this guy BS'ing me? Is this a case of why so many places earn the title of "stealership"?

Pull the SC and send it to Jerry. $75 to rebuild + parts. Half of the quote from the dealer.

Yeah, he's full of it! No update on sc since 09. Seadoo even changed service intervals for 2012 to 200hrs for rebuild, since they have proven to be reliable. Take to different dealership. Rebuild kit is about 330.00 and labor is usually 2-2.5 hours. Yeah it sucks that so many dealerships suck, but there are good ones out there!

+1 on victim seal, especially for x charger. Good to use McMaster washers also.

Your dealer is full of shit, there is no new updated Scer...Have your Scer rebuilt by somebody reputable like Jerry,Have the Scer front seal replaced with a Viton seal and if you want McMaster Carr washers,The new spring washers in the rebuild kits are pretty good so its basically your choice..after that you should be good to go...

Make sure you do a full rebuild...

    Washers and bearings.
If the bearings take a dump it wipes out a bunch of stuff...
