    Ultra 260 lx help !!!

    Just broke my steering cable yesterday, I bought the cable already, and I mote or less know how to install, even though ive never have i figure its not rocket science, I just want to make sure Excatly what type of work am I dealing with and what Excatly do I need to do to uninstall old and install the new, I don't want to unbolt anything I don't have to.. Thanks !

    There was a recall on the steering cable by Kawaski. Check with your dealer if they can install it.

    Oh wow, I've never got a recall paper sent to my house, I will look into that though, but even if they can install it I don't have time, I need to install it today for tomarow lol, do you have any idea what are the steps ...???

    undo end nut clamps untie cable in hull tie old cable to new and pull through

    Awesome thank you so much, a quick question how about the actual steering wheel I would have to take all the plastics off correct ?

    No just unclip from bottom and remove two ten mm bolts for holding clamp.

    Ok I bought the cable, and I was told by dealer there are three points, the end of the ski where it actually is attached to the blower, in the middle and right under the steering wheel, I was verry confused, but it was commen sence, my question is ate there 1 Mm nut in the front to de attach from steering ?

    I'm still having trouble guys, I unclipped the cable from the front and the second on close to the front, now I do not know how to remove it from the back where it goes into the hull, I removed the ride plate to take a better look but I have no idea what to do?? Keep in mind I need to remove the whole streering cable ...
