Now I know who has been eating my fish....
I have a small 400 gallon pond in my back yard. I've noticed some residents have gone missing, but no bodies.
This is my prime suspect:

No Koi anymore. They seemed to disappear first. I just have multicolored $0.17 goldfish. They seem to be the only things that last. Catfish= gone, plachostimus (sp?) = gone, Koi = gone. Some of the goldfish are about 8"long and growing.

With koi fish you need to be very aware of cats too. They prefer them for some reason.

Just put a fine mesh net over your pond and you will be fine. I live in the country and my net keeps the birds and raccoons out of it.
You can get it at any pet store and it is almost invisible.
