Need some advise fast on 96 XP trying to get ready for a CC race in 2 weeks

A couple weeks ago my ski took on quite a bit of water, got it all drained out and it started and ran fine the rest of the day. Now last weekend it started and ran but it started not wanting to start it just clicks I have taken battery out charged bought a new starter and starter relay and it still just clicks when trying to start ski. I have also replaced all the grounds on the ski. Before you could take plugs out and it would turn over now it won't even do that. Thanks for any help anyone has to offer. Forgot to mention that when it was running good the RPM'S were around 7200 and after the water incident they went down to. Around 5600 didn't know if anybody knows if this is a sign of anything. Thanks
