Using RE block offs to move sponsons back.

I know this has been discussed but has anyone tried it? I would think the handling gains would be substantial.

I'm working on it...will have a prototype ready in about 2 weeks...

They will be designed around the sponsons I make, but will extend and anchor into the RE's, giving the sponson blade about 6" or more adjustability backwards....Total adjustability would be over 12" on my setup...

Don't worry guys, I got ya covered!

The front hole on the OEM sponson holes is 1/4 inch LOWER, and would not line up...PLUS the brass fitting will not fit in that hole because of the plastic, you'd have to trim it to fit...

If you had aftermarket, you would have to trim the backing plate...

Joe tried this on the RXP, and it worked really, really well for handling, on top of the RE improvement.

Maybe he could shed some light i know it's more involved then just drilling an extra hole and moving it back.

Can't remember if he tried it with the stock Worx at the end or not. It was one smooth turning RXP. Nothing rattled it's cage in the turns.

i was looking at my 04 the back hole would only need 2 b drilled and the front stud put there (on the re block off) or if u have a 05 get a 04 stud & nut i have the riva sponsas so the front hole would need 2 b redrilled if someone would come up with a new backing plate 4 the riva sponsas 2 fit this, that might b a ideal
now using a 05 stock sponsas u would need 2 do something different
