Thanks for the nice comments guys. He is only 5 and has yet to learn how to flip that switch on in his head when he's got to get seriuos. Its just all fun to him (guess thats good for now so he dont get burned out). When he spars in Karate he runs around and giggles the whole time. I just hope all this instows in him for when he gets older and really needs it.
My future plans with him are to keep him in karate for another year or so,so he can get his basics down, plus karate is more staight blocks and straight kicks which IMO is better for a 5 year old vs all the sweeping /flashy taekwondo blocks and kicks(when I was a kid I seen many taekwando kids get in a street fight and get put on their butt while trying to throw one of those big kicks). Once he gets his straight up karate basics down I will switch him over to taekwando, and also jujitsu. We got a place here in Houston that trains one of the UFC fighters (cant remember his name right now) that also teaches childrens jujitsu. When I was a kid I was a bully (I regret that now) and know how much of that really does goes around, on and off the school yard. My kid will not be bullied and hopefully will have the respect not to do it to others. I just want him to use it when he needs it.

That's pretty cool how you and your son are so involved with this. I have 10 and 13 years old daughters, no boys.... As a matter of fact, my wife and I are going to talk to the guy who runs a local Tae Kwon Do place tomorrow to get our youngest involved. We always joke with her that if she ever gets into trouble with a man one day, just go for the "nuts" and he'll go down quick. Maybe this will give her some alternatives....
