    Gasket material question

Folks--silly question--I rebuilt carb with fiberous fuel grade gasket material1/32 thick from auto parts store. The carb base and air intake gaskets seem much thicker as well as gasket on exhaust manifold. Question-is there salt water resistant material I should have used or is this 1/32 thick fuel resistant fiber material adequate for both carb rebuild, carb base gasket and exhaust manifold? Maybe I'm over thinking this? Thanks!!

I would think its fine for the fuel side, but not the exhaust

Thanks--I took exhaust off today--will reuse gasket it looks fine--will use some hylomor gasket sealant on old exhaust gasket as well.
