    RPM limit -X 260?

    Hey guys,

yesterday I went for a ride with my 11 RXT-X 260 and I was using the "Limit RPM" function.
After some spins and small jumps where it came totally out of the water, I saw on the display that it saved a max rpm of 8756
Ski is stock. Is that normal?

yeah. when it becomes unhooked during jumping or carving up, the engine revs hard for a split second. same as if u nail it off the line your rpm will spike high momentarily

Same thing here. Does the same for my max speed. Glad im not the only one. Any reason for this? I was curious if it was causing my issue of the ski killing throttle at WOT but if you guys are having the same issue with no side effects that ruins that idea.

But shouldn't the rpm limiter avoid that the engine revs so high, like in my case, above 8700 rpm?

Yes but the ECU can not react that fast on these rpm spikes.

The engine and driveline are mechanical parts. You can't stop or slow down that in a split sec.
