2003 XP DI or 2005 RXP for wave jumping

Right now I have an rx di and the thing is really fun to play with, especially for jumping waves. So I was wanting another ski that was capable of the same or better. I know that there is price difference but I would like to see what people think would be the best to get. Their main use would be for wave jumping.

Another option would be to get another rx di. Which would you guys pick?

    Thanks,
    Krummel21

i say ditch the 2 strokes. the rxp is the fastest for top speed and you can put a 2° wedge on it to make it jump higher if the supercharged engine doesnt satisfy your thrill enough. mine, (and a bunch of other people im sure) can jump out of the water from a dead stop. and thats without the wedge. if you jump waves a lot, dont forget to put metal washers in your supercharger b/c it will be over revving a lot if you're constantly in the air.

Thanks for your reply JF, so you don't have any problem getting up in the air. The only thing that got me is that it weighs so much more and that there are more things that can break on the RXP. Do you recommend getting the BOV for wave jumping? How does that pull out of the hole?

Has anyone driven both that could post their experiences?

    Thanks,

Alright well seeing that alot of people are going for the di I have another question. If I were to add the things that JF was talking about would the RXP jump as high as my RX DI? How about reliability with jumping, which would last longer? How often do the clutches go out with the SC and how hard are they to replace?

for a playful ski that handles great and jumps good and has no extra money put into it i would get the xp but if you're looking for something a little more stable when you're flying high and overall power i would go with the rxp with a pump wedge. i dont know about 2 stroke upgrades but a 14/19r 4 blade prop put on a stock rxp will up the acceleration too. $300 in an rxp and it suits my wave jumping desires.

Being 12 hours from the ocean, I can't comment on the waves, but I sure do like the looks of my 03 XPDI.
