xl 1200 limited carb problem frozen low

Looking to rebuild my carbs. Decided to check my high and lows since the tamper caps are still intact. Removed the tamper caps and found that one of the lows seem to be frozen. Cant turn it clockwise or counter clockwise. Soaked it last night with WD-40 and will try to see if they freed up later today. Are there any other options? Are the carbs shot now? Or I guess what I will do is rebuild the rest of the carb and leave the Highs and Lows alone. 2000 XL 1200 Limited.

Before you ruin the head of the adjuster measure the diameter of it and if you can drill a small nut or something to drive over the end of the slot to keep it from breaking the ears off it. once you break the ears off its nearly impossible to get them out. i have had to drill them and use a extractor or ease out to get them out.
    Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply. When I look at the carb the adjuster is about a quarter inch down inside a round cylinder if that makes since. There is just enough room to get a flat head screw driver down it to turn the screw. How about a little heat?

I've used heat and a lot of different things to get the adjusters out. sometimes when they are stuck really bad you cant get them out. but if yours are stuck bad putting a sleeve or something over the end of the adjuster will just help in extracting them. if they are sticking really bad the ears will break off.
