    2003 Virage I Plane / Throttle Issues

    Odd Issue going on.
When launching the ski, it starts and runs fine.
I give it throttle to get it on plane, and the engine revs up, but the ski doesn't speed up.
I have to throttle up and down a bunch of times, then throttle increase very slowly, and then it catches in and goes perfect.
Once I do this, it runs fine for the day, but then the next day, same thing, have to work it in.

    Any ideas?

    Drive line slippage.

My guess is the rubber bonded coupler behind the engine is slipping.

Other possibility is the splines at each end of the drive shaft are stripped.

See my signature links for more info. Look in the Jet Pump section.
