1994 750 ST Fuel Pump Issue
So I picked up a 1994 750 ST basically for free. The previous owner was starting to swap it to dual carbs. What I need is how to route all of the fuel lines as he had tried to bypass the fuel selector switch. And when I was turning it over, I pulled the pulse line off the carb. and was sticking my thumb over it and it seemed to be creating pressure more than vacuum. Any common causes of this?

Not sure I understand your question(s). The pulse line transmits pulses, i.e. pressure and vacuum. That's what moves the pump diaphragm. The hose on the 750 goes from the front cylinder crankcase to the pump on the back of the carb rack.
