    Ultra in the Atlantic Ocean

Today Cue and his signifant other (super gorgeous D) went out today off Key Biscayne. We launched at Crandon Marina, went to Marina Stadium,
went by Fisher Island, circumvented Key Biscayne and went through Stiltsville (houses out in the ocean) and made it back to the dock.

The Ultra definitely needs the wedge, very nose heavy. The deep V hull handles anything you can throw at it!

All of you have the Ultra can rest assured that this is one of the best
    offshore hull/motors ever developed!

Sounds like the ride is turning out as promised, it'll be nice to hear more reports with the wedge and ride plate in place.

Well this was the first time in the salt water for the Ultra and man was that damn thing a wet ride. Well, that is not a super true statement... what I figured out is when the water and such was coming over the front of the ski it was because I wasn't going fast enough. The faster I went the less I got wet. So in the end just go balls to the wall and you won't get wet at all. LOL.

I anxiously await the wedge to show up and hopefully skip will have some feedback on the plate mod soon.

Tom, (super gorgeous D) says thanks for the complements and she has a great time running around down there and seeing all the sights.

Tom, did you guys get to run most of the gas out of the tank? I was wondering if the buzzer came on and how many miles on a tank of fuel.

Tom was out maybe 1 or 2 hours before I was and believe he still has 1/2 tank left. I filled up with fuel being clearly visible in the gas fill tube (I topped it off good). I reset my timer on the ski and rode for 1:32 and my guage is still showing full tank. I am hoping it is not stuck. We ran at various throttle speeds but mainly did exploring/sight seeing.

Once you have the wedge and ride plate mod the nose won't be plowing and you won't get wet.

    gas mileage

I probably put 3 hours clock time, mostly around 4/5 thousand rpms.
Just under 1/2 tank by guage left This seems to me like the
old two 4 barrell carbs, stay out of your 4 barrels (boost) and gas
    mileage is OK.

Thanks Tom and Curtis. That is pretty much the same way I would be riding when we will be cruising. I am just going to have to catch a pretty day and run mine until it stops, then I will know how far I will be able to go on a tank of gas. Thanks
