Charging Coil +/- % ?? 2001 Polaris Virage
I am working my way along a charging problem with a 2001 Polaris Virage. I see in the manual & online it says the charging coil should read .75 ohms, but no one list a +/- %. Just dead on. I'm getting a reading of .8, just .05 off the manual listed value. 6.6% off. Do you think the coil is the problem or should i move on to the LR 505.
I put a new battery in and it ran great. But, charging (as stated by the mfd) started at 10.5 and moved up to 13.4 during the hour ride. I was able to stop and start 2 times at the end of the ride and then it went to low to spark, 10v, 9.5v and the ride was over. (stopping and starting all happened at the dock not out in the lake)

I would not worry about anything up to around a ten percent variation from specification on stator coils.
MFI/MFD voltage display can be inaccurate. Only trust a proper digital voltmeter for measuring charging system voltages.
Recharge the battery using a decent smart charger, so when you are diagnosing the charging system the battery is not creating a heavy electrical load on the charging system, which can drag the voltages below normal levels.
Focus on the LR module, and the correct wire connections for both LR and the stator coil.
