    water in cylinders

I have a 02 fx 140 that ran great until I stopped at dock, turned ski off. When I tried to start it again it seemed dead. I pulled plugs and all four cylinders had water in them. There was no water in bilge. Got the water out of cylinders and changed oil. Took ski to launch and ran it on trailer, no water in motor at all this time. Took it off trailer and rode it for ten minutes and shut it off. The ski did the same thing as before, water in cylinders. It runs fine top end and idling, but as soon as I shut it off it gets water in it!!! HELP PLEASE. scratching my head on this .one

Likely a bad head gasket. You put the motor under load off the trailer and water enters the cylinders through the failed gasket. Could also be a warped head, but unlikely undress you've had a prolonged overheat.

I was told that the Kawasaki's are having similar issues with the rings at the end of the stinger pipe failing and causing a back flow of water to enter the cylinders. Is there some sort of seal or a boot that could have failed in the exhaust that would be causing the water to back up into pistons? As long as the ski is running it has no issues with water in the cylinders, but as soon as you shut it off it floods cylinders.
