Go to the "be all end all" STX thread by our resident guru, Sean.
Look at post #6 about half way down the page titled "Hot start issue".

No Sean, it's great for you for helping us 'ordinary' guys (present company included) with ordinary skis who don't have the latest supercharged, scom modified, so on and so forth skies.

Hello, ok Thanks, nö ist become strenght again, i went to Beach again and stop the Motor after Mayer 10 sec. I Test ist to Start again and the Motor Starts without Problems. After 1 Hour the Motor didnt Start and i Must Getting by another boat back in the Port.(its the Second Time beetween 3 days) The Motor gets fuel and the Sparks flashing but Not beautiful only on the side Not on the Top of the spark. Now One Day later First it didnt Start, Thun i put the Ski Out of the water and nö it Starts without Problems. Does the ECU make the Problem ? In your Thread you Said that the numbers 36 32 28 make Problems is ist the First numbers of the serial number on the ECU because my ECU is 21175-3725. Greets

Ecu is fine then. It sounds like the temperature sensors, try replacing the oil temp and exhaust temp sensors.

Or next time take the seats off. Wait 5 minutes then try to start again with the seats off. Mine has never failed to start doing this. Make sure you blip your throttle a couple of times before you turn off your engine too. This helps.

Same thing happened to me a few years back. I've occasionally gotten the hot start issue but it was never a big deal. On the day in question it was particularly bad and took about 5 minutes to start, turned out to be a warped head with low compression in the rear cylinder..
