    Rxp loose battery terminals

So after I finally get my rxp back from the dealer for some repair work I take it out on the water and after a little riding it just wants to crank and not fire. After I finally get it going I head back to the dock just cruising at about 4500 rpms. The buzzer started going off and my warning light would flash but no codes would come up. It would also cut out and then act normal again. When I get back to the house I realize that the terminals were loose and not making a good connection. Would loose terminals cause these problems? I won't be able to check the ski on the water again until next weekend so I was just double checking before I took it back out.

Anyone offer any help? It would really help put my mind at ease if someone else thought that lose terminals would cause these types of symptoms.

Anytime you have a loose ground ANYTHING can occur especially with a sea doo, so yes loose terminals might be the problem. Tighten them and then run it on the hose see how it reacts until you can get it back to the water.

You would likely be getting the old "12 volt high" code with the loose connections. Clean and reinstall the terminals and ride!

If your rxp is a 05 or older just after it sounds the alarm and before you turn it off, push the set button 5 times fast to display the fault code on the screen, then you can look up the code and see whats going on.
