98 1050 slxh drive shaft question

I'm in the process of dropping an engine in a 98 slxh. I bought it as a basket case so its going to be a learning experience putting it back together. I noticed the drive shaft isn't moving freely. Prior to trying to turn it I pumped the grease fitting full of grease. What should I do first to try and diagnose it?

Have you removed the jet pump?

If yes, then you can slide the drive shaft out. If it is stuck, then there is something wrong or corroded.

Got jet pump and driveshaft out. Originally I thought it was going to be the bearing but it ended up just being the impeller corroded to the housing.
