How Many Solas Props are Torn and Failed due to bending.

Just so everyone is clear please post only your Solas props that are bent or torn from bending the props. I would like to track how many failures there are and perhaps see if we can figure out where the failure threshold if any will or may be. If you have a stock untouched Solas prop post up as well but please specify weather or not it was bent and what pitch it came from the factory.

I wonder if it is because we bend them in excess of 1 degree, that is making it weak......I was told you should only pitch up 1 degree on both sides.....if you need more you should buy the next pitch up..... Wonder what Impros does to them doe he reweld and balance these

My thoughts are similar, It appears that these props are already stressed out from the factory and the casting is perhaps below engineering standards. If these props are tearing like they are I have an engineer friend that knows a metallurgist and I'd love to send him one and see what his thoughts would be.

5001Craig tore one at the root a couple of years ago at MB. I was with him that day and we never rode that hard. The usual Gator83 tour thing and he was idling thru a NWZ when it started cavitating really bad. We rolled it up on the bank and found nothing in the pump. Further investigation revealed a broken blade at the root.

I remember seeing two other VXR/VXS skis that reported the same issue here on the forum. One was a year ago or so. The other one was more recently. The first one IIRC was just a stocker replacement with no bends. I don't know any more details on the second one.
