Pulled the trigger - 2011 GTX iS 215

First off, glad to be here. I love forums that offer good members and sound advice. Having been a long time member of biker forums I generally start my research with these type forums. There is a gold mine of information on the best ones and this one seems to be up there with them.

Just bought a new 2011 GTX iS 215. Not exactly what I was planning but the price was too good to pass. Since I am new to this sport, thought going milder would be better to get my introduction. What a craft. I am still in break-in period so I know there is more, but this thing is quick and agile to me. I know there is some struggle for the turn in, but I think this can be overcome with more experience. The ride across lake (the way I will ride 80% of the time) is amazing. This is the smoothest craft I have ever ridden (compared to friends Fx Cruiser and Aquatrax). I can actually go in chop at 45 - 50 without getting beat up. Also picked up a 2013 GTX S 155 for the wife. Both of these are really smooth on the water at normal speeds. I will open it up after the 5 limiter goes away, only 4 more to go. Spent 4 hours on lake yesterday and only managed to get 1 solid hour showing. I can't wait for more.

I know this is not the fastest craft out there, but for now is fast enough for me. Once I get used to this and can ride like I used to ride bikes, I might need an upgrade. Catch you out on the water...

Welcome That's a nice looking ski. Keep up on the maintenance, and don't run it too long out of the water and you should have a very dependable ski.

You guys are scaring me with all these mods. LMAO!! Some of you have spent crazy money. I think if I get into the engine to that degree the 260 will be on order before I empty the bank.

But yeah, I am speed phreak too. Thanks for the welcomes. Can't wait to learn more.

    :yay2:

I have (basically) the same ski and it's easily the best I've ever ridden (but I haven't ridden a new 260 yet).
