1994 750 ss xi crapping out with 1/2 tank
Hey guys the other day I was riding my wife's 1994 750 ss xi when it started crapping out and stalled. I switched over to reserve and it ran fine. I checked fuel and it was above 1/2 tank (gauge and visual confirmation). I filled it and switched back to normal fuel position, it crapped out again. I have new fuel lines for everywhere but the selector switch AND I have an extra selector switch in the parts bin if need be.
Anyone experience similar issues? First thought is to replace all the lines and clean the selector switch, but my thought is its in the the fuel pickup in the tank having issue (I also have an extra).

My guess would be the fine mesh screen on the tank pickup. I took mine out and replaced them with hoses of the same length, then installed inline filters.

Ill pull it out and see what I got. In-line filters sound like a great idea! Can I just use the simple plastic ones like I used on my old VW's?

I think the Fram G2 is the most commonly used one. I bought some Purolator filters at Wal-Mart.
