    PWC Trolling Motor Setup

After several different attempts to mount a trolling motor on my jet ski, I decided that simple was the best way to go. With this setup, I don't have to modify the trolling motor. Instead, I can use the standard transom mount and clamp it on easily. I mounted the battery in the storage box under the rear seat and installed a waterproof connector.

Have you tried it out yet? How does it work? I was thinking of doing the same thing so I can do some fishin in shallow water without sucking things thru the impeller.

I use it almost every weekend and it works great. I get in and out of some thick weeds and sticks.

How shallow can you go? I guess until the ski hits the bottom....

I can get into 2 feet of water easily but I have to be careful of sucking weeds into the jet intake. When I get shallow or deep in the sticks, I use my collapsable paddle to maneuver. I needed the paddle last week when I rapped my line (1000 times) around a dead tree - ugh!
