Tig or Mig stainless J pipe?
I'm going to install the O2 sensor bung in my J pipe, I read that it should be done with a Tig, but I'm only setup for Mig, but I can do a quick swap and set it up to do stainless, will that work?

I weld both MIG and TIG, and while I think it might be possible to use MIG, you will have better results with TIG to produce a non-leaking joint.
You didn't say what version J-pipe you have. The 2003-2004 white label ones are stainless, but the 2005+ red label ones are Inconel, and that is bitch to weld clean with any process. If you have a red label pipe, I would not consider MIG at all.

06 tap risky!!! Check the sticky on how one does a pre 08 mani. Did my 07 the 08 way and just got lucky. There's a new way that a member did some r&d on wall thickness on the pre 08.
