What to do with beeper once I......?

For those who have had 96xps or any model in fact with a beeper/buzzer in the bulky steering assembly AND THEN converted to a more like race type aftermarket steering system with aftermarket handle bars...... What did you do with the beeper/buzzer? Get rid of it? Cut the wires? Unplug it and leave it? Put the beeper under the hood somewhere? Im not sure what to do with it.

Any advice would be great. Thanks
