    Groco water strainer

Installing my Groco water strainer with my new intercooler. Can I /should I install filter (with shut off on 3/4" line right from jet pump) so it filters all cooling water to exhaust and intercooler? Any disavantages or problems with restrictions? I ride fresh water mainly very clean.

You want it on the line from the pump prior to the IC. You want it there to prevent stuff from clogging your IC. As for the shut off, either on that line or on the exit feeding your exhaust is fine too. Thats where I have mine do to the amount of room i had.

Totally depends what year and model ski as there are many differences in plumbing configurations.

Bottom line, strain the IC line and shutoff valve on the line going to the exhaust manifold.

The iBr skis uses 2 different lines, the older skis had one and T'd off of it to the IC.

Why wouldn't I want to filter the water going thru the exhaust manifold, water jacket and exhaust pipe also??

Mine come in from pump shoe (this is where I would place strainer and shut off) to tee one line to exhaust manifold one to inter cooler. Exhaust manifold to exhaust pipe and to exit line. Other path thru inter cooler there is vent out inter cooler back into another tee to exit which is also the hose flush hook up.
