I think thats a DI cover and the crank position sensor goes there.

So does the carb motor have a plug or is it a diff cover? This is a carb motor but that's the cover I had. Can't find the original carb one I had.
I suppose I can bang the 1050 plug in there.

You want that to be watertight and vibration proof.

Can you find a rubber cork or plug that would do the job, and hold it in with a screw and a flat piece of metal?

Yea. Now that I know what it is I can rig something. Ill look again for the carb cover In the meantime. It has to be somewhere.
Thanks for the fast response fellas.

I picked up a rubber tappered plug from the hardware store fits great.I can take a picture tonight if you want,or a cork will work.

I think banging the cap from the 1050 will work if need be. It's the same size just threaded. The crushed thread should stop it from vibrating out.

How about a flat piece of aluminum with some RTV and a screw into the threaded hole?
